The Human Division, Episode 8: The Sound Of Rebellion

The Colonial Defense Forces usually protect humanity from alien attack, but now the stability of the Colonial Union has been threatened, and Lieutenant Heather Lee and her squad are called to squash a rebellion on a colony world. It seems simple enough—but there’s a second act to the rebellion that finds Lee captive, alone, and armed with only her brains to survive.

1. I’d like to see more of Lieutenant Lee. She is Not An Idiot. This is good.
2. AGAIN, with all the questions! Augh! The answers to all of these had better make one epic conclusion…
Despite my Augh! moment, I gave this episode a four-star rating, which definitely places it above the previous episode for intrigue and enjoyment. The questions I’m left with are, thankfully, still fascinating ones. Who was really behind Lee’s kidnapping and interrogation? Will it affect events later in the story? Will we actually see Lieutenant Lee again, because I’m serious about approving of her...
On a related yet somewhat tangential note, this is all making me want to go back and reread the Old Man’s War novels. … To the bookstore!
